Laboratory Refurbishment

Introduction

Inside Out Group (IOG) were awarded this project by The University of Oxford, one of the world’s leading universities.

The project involved the full refurbishment of two instrumentation laboratories at the University’s Department of Engineering and Science.

Project details

Complete refurbishment of two science laboratories including:

• Full strip-out
• Electrical re-wire
• Installation of a fume cupboard.
• Air conditioning and fresh air system
• Supply and fit of laboratory furniture
• Decoration and flooring throughout

Points of note

The laboratories are located on the first floor of the Department of Engineering and Science which created challenges for removing and transporting waste and new materials. The project was undertaken during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, working to a very tight timescale with no flexibility to extend the programme. The works were completed on time and to budget.
