A reputation for excellence

Ideally located in the expanding town of Bicester, only a short journey from Oxford and its famous spires with direct links to the M40 and A34, we provide an extensive range of construction, electrical and mechanical installation services to the commercial and private sectors.

Our portfolio encompasses new builds, renovations and refurbishments across the southern region of the UK working for defence, education, NHS, emergency services, local councils, government and private sector clients.

Years of experience and a commitment to excellence ensures that our customers receive a first class service from project inception through to completion.  The development of long-term relationships with our clients has been paramount in our success and is something that we pride ourselves on.  This has enabled us to establish a prestigious client base with large public and private organisations throughout a range of sectors across the southern counties.

We have earned a reputation for achieving excellence and for delivering innovative, environmentally friendly, sustainable projects within budget and on time.  It is this reputation that brings us new clients and new business, enabling us to grow as a company and offer our clients the latest technologies, products and services.

INSIDE OUT DEVELOPMENTS LTD

Established in 1987 as a small building company focusing on home extensions and refurbishments, Inside Out Developments Ltd, trading as the Inside Out Group, has grown into a recognised multi-trade construction company employing in excess of 80 staff.  With Colin Woodhams at the helm since its inception, the business has retained its family-run approach, maintaining traditional values whilst delivering modern, sustainable services.

Our experienced craftsmen collectively provide an extensive range of construction, refurbishment, electrical, mechanical and plumbing services.

We have built upon the experience of our highly skilled workforce and their commitment to providing the best possible service to our customers and successfully expanded our business into other sectors of the construction industry such as health, defence, government and the police.

Our multi-trade service is enhanced by the collaborative working arrangements we have with our network of specialist approved contractors.  Combined with the project management skills of our senior management team we confidently deliver first class projects fulfilling and exceeding the high expectations of our clients.

WORKING SAFELY

Our commitment to health and safety applies to everyone; our staff, our clients and those working and living in the communities and services within which we operate.  Without exception, health and safety comes first and is at the heart of everything we do.  We are proud of our exemplary record and our health and safety practices and polices meet the highest standards set by the Health and Safety Executive.  Our performance is evidenced by our ISO OHSAS 45001: 2018 accreditation.

We maintain these high standards by continually reviewing and improving our practices and policies.  Our staff members are given all the necessary training, guidance, resources and support they need to maintain a safe working environment.  Every project is risk assessed prior to works commencing and any risks are mitigated and planned for by our qualified Health and Safety Advisor.

QUALITY WORKMANSHIP

We have a reputation for delivering high quality projects and working professionally which is evidenced by the repeat business we receive from our long-standing customers.  We are ISO 9001:2015 accredited and work stringently in compliance with the requirements of this standard.  We are also Constructionline Gold (Level 3) Members, further demonstrating our commitment to quality assurance.  We continually review and improve all aspects of our business to ensure that we are leaders in the construction industry.

We believe that each and every employee has a role to play in the delivery of quality services and to ensure that our commitment to excellence is constantly maintained throughout all of our services.  We support our staff through training and mentoring to ensure that individually and collectively they achieve the consistent high level of quality that our customers have come to expect from us.

TAKING CARE OF THE ENVIRONMENT

Taking care of the environment doesn’t just mean using sustainable wood or recycling our waste.  It is an integral and critical part of everything we do whether that’s re-using materials, reducing energy and water consumption or waiting to carry out tree works until the nesting bats have moved on.  We take each and every issue seriously by incorporating green and sustainable practices across our business and demonstrate this through our compliance with the requirements of our ISO 14001: 2015 accreditation.

We innovate through our advanced construction technologies, collaboration and the way we champion modern working practices. We also use cutting-edge construction practices and utilise latest innovations to secure sustainable construction for the future. Our policies demonstrate our commitment to quality and to meeting the sustainable development agenda and standards.

LOOKING AFTER OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY

We value our local community and place great importance on supporting the local economy and infrastructure.  Wherever possible we use local businesses and contractors to supply materials and sub-contracted services. Many of our employees are from the surrounding villages and towns which not only helps employment in the community but has the added value of helping us to reduce the impact on the environment through travel to and from work.

Developing local young people is a priority for us and we seek to offer a minimum of three apprenticeships a year.  All our apprentices receive regular support, supervision and assessment.  We work with local schools to offer work experience opportunities to young people interested in pursuing a career in the construction industry.  We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to ensuring that no applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment or are disadvantaged on the grounds of gender, age, disability, religion, believe, sexual orientation, marital status or race.
